What We Believe
The universal Biblical doctrine that will be visually
expressed through written scripture and sculpture in the Gardens expresses what
we believe as the Board of Trustees of The Coming King Foundation:
- God is one, maker of the
universe and all things.[1]
- His personality is expressed
in three persons, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.[2] [3]
- The Father is God[4],
Jesus Christ is God[5] [6], and the Holy
Spirit is God[7].
- The Trinity has always
existed, before anything was created[8] [9].
- The Bible is the inspired Word
of God that is spiritually, historically and scientifically true, given
once and for all times to all peoples[10] [11] [12].
- Jesus Christ is “Yeshua”, the Messiah of the Jews, the anointed one
predicted in ancient prophecies, hundreds of years before His birth, sent
by God the Father to save His people from their sins[13].
- Jesus was the “Sacrificial
Lamb” given by God to pay for the sins of the world, for all people for
all time[14] [15].
- 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ
was born of a Jewish virgin named Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit[16].
- Jesus lived a sinless life[17] as a real person[18] in Israel, and during His
three-year earthly ministry, worked many miracles witnessed by thousands[19].
He was anointed by the Holy Spirit[20] [21],
and empowered by the Father[22].
- After fulfilling all
scriptural predictions (concerning the first appearance of Messiah) having
done all the Father had required[23], Jesus freely gave Himself up to
be crucified[24] for the sins of the world, past,
present and future[25].
- After dying a horrible death[26] and not using any of
His[27] supernatural power to escape this fate, He died exactly how, when and for the
reason the scriptures predicted[28] [29], at the hands of the
Roman army[30] and Jewish religious leaders[31] of that time.
- The divine blood Jesus[32],
shed during His scourging and crucifixion, made it possible for anyone who
believes in Him to be saved from his or her sins[33].
- The resulting covenant
relationship[34] with God results in new birth.
This is an event[35] (not a process) which places the
Believer in the Body of Christ[36], the Bride of Christ[37] [38], and makes one a joint-heir with
Jesus[39].
- There is no other way to God
the Father, except through Jesus Christ the Son, which is made possible
through the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit[40].
- After three days in the grave,
Jesus was miraculously raised from the dead[41] in bodily form and appeared before the disciples[42] and hundreds of others[43].
- He ascended[44],
bodily and visibly in a cloud[45] to the right hand of the Father,
taking His rightful place at the right hand of God[46] the Father in Heaven.
- After the supernatural
resurrection of Christ, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit of God to the earth[47] to comfort and indwell His children, giving them daily guidance[48];
revelation[49], power, and spiritual gifts[50] to enable them to, and to live a holy life before God[51].
- We believe that Baptism is
seen in triplicate (much like the Trinity) in the New Testament as seen in
the table[52], and that the Baptism by Jesus
into the Holy Spirit is a separate distinct[53] and
empowering[54] work from regeneration or new
birth. It is easily and Scripturally differentiated from receiving the
Holy Spirit at the New Birth, by observing that the Baptizer and the
medium are different in these two events. It is further seen in the New
Testament many time subsequent to conversion[55],
and accompanied by the Gifts of the Holy Spirit[56].
The Scripture is also consistent in referring to the Spirit in[57] you (Baptism by the Holy Spirit) and receiving the Spirit, or the Spirit
being on[58] you (Baptism by Jesus).
- We believe there are two
sacraments of the Church that are set forth in the Scriptures of the New
Covenant, namely, Baptism[59], and The Lord’s Supper[60],
and that any born-again Believer may administer these because of God’s
priestly anointing[61] upon them.
- We believe God has called all
of His children to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others who are
perishing[62] [63],
so they might know eternal life with God and His blessings on this earth
now.
- We believe that God is not
finished with the Nation of Israel[64], and that when
the “times of the Gentiles”[65] is finished, God will resume his
dealings with Israel in a 7 year period called “The Great Tribulation”[66] (also called the 70th week of Daniel[67])
- We believe that Jesus will
return to the earth visibly and bodily[68] to receive His
Bride. This is the first resurrection[69] [70] [71].
- After this, a 1000 year reign
of Christ and His Bride[72] (the Church) will take place on
the earth. This “Millennium” will end with the great final rebellion of
Satan and his followers in the battle of Armageddon. Jesus, as THE COMING
KING[73] will supernaturally intervene to
once and for all destroy wickedness out of existence.
- This will be immediately
followed by the “Great White Throne Judgment” after which the wicked dead
will be condemned to eternal punishment, and banished to the Lake of Fire[74].
- The present corruptible earth
will be destroyed by fire[75], and God’s new eternal Kingdom
will be established on a remade earth[76].
- The Redeemed of the earth
shall then enter into an eternal state of blessedness and reign with Him
eternally[77].

ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?

power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
[55] Acts 8:12-15 But when they believed
Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of
Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. [13] Then Simon himself
believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and
wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. [14] Now when the
apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of
God, they sent unto them Peter and John: [15] Who, when they were come down,

[60] 1 Corinthians. 11:23-28 For I
have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord
Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: [24] And when he had
given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is
broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. [25] After the same manner also
he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in
my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. [26] For as
often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death
till he come. [27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup
of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
[28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink
of that cup.
[61] 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen
generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye
should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into
his marvelous light:
[62] Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the

by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and
Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the
Gentiles be fulfilled.
[66] Matthew 24:21 For then shall be
great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be.

a thousand years.
[70] 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I
show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52]

shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed.
[71] 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the
Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [12] His
eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a
name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a
vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the
armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with
it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and
he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And

OF LORDS.
[74] Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a

dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another
book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of
those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13]
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up
the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their
works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was
cast into the lake of fire.
[75] 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the
Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass
away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

her husband.

be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his
servants shall serve him: [4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall
be in their foreheads. [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no
candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they
shall reign for ever and ever.
