The President of the foundation, Max Greiner, Jr., summarizes here the “vision” given to him by God, to create beautiful Gardens across the world, specifically designed to bring the “lost” to Christ.  God has given Max a passion to see this dream become a reality soon, and has equipped him as an Artist, Designer and Evangelist to accomplish the mission.

Dear Friends,

Would you consider joining us in honoring God and blessing other people, by lifting up Christ in a dramatic, public way that could potentially lead thousands to Jesus? You may remember when you first experienced Jesus Christ's presence in your life, or witnessed Him coming into the lives of others. This unique project is about bringing glory and people to the Lord!

In September of 2002, God gave me a "vision" of large, Christ-honoring sculptures, including a giant cross, displayed in privately owned Sculpture Prayer Gardens, along the major highways of the world. These beautiful Gardens would be places where visitors could be with God, and actually meet Him for the first time. They would be places of peace, tranquility, inspiration and education. The Gardens would be free to the public, require minimal manpower to operate, and function until Jesus returns!

We believe the Holy Spirit of God will draw thousands of curious non-believers off the highways of the world, into these beautiful Sculpture Prayer Gardens, which will be built around a central, cross-shaped evangelistic Garden. This Garden will feature my five large Christian sculptures, and a logical presentation of the Gospel, in multiple languages. This "non-denominational" presentation of Scripture will clearly present the Biblical "Truth," and insure the support from all genuine Christian churches in the area.

Upon entering at the foot of the cross-shaped Garden, visitors will see a Bible verse every 12 feet, in a modern translation, inscribed on 16' x 16' floor tiles. Additional tiles, in other appropriate languages, will be placed to the right and left of the "primary language" verse. This "Path to Salvation" will literally lead visitors around the entire Garden, until a full presentation of the Gospel has been communicated, using both Old and New Testament verses. At the exit, the "Sinner's Prayer" will be inscribed, bringing all visitors to a "point of decision." In effect, the Gardens will be a giant, "walk-in" Salvation tract!

On May 6, 2004, The Coming King Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 Texas corporation, was established to develop Sculpture Prayer Gardens across the USA and world, starting with one, to serve as the "working model" for all subsequent Gardens. This first Garden will be called, "The Coming King Sculpture Garden" and will be situated next to Interstate 10, near my hometown of Kerrville, TX.

This Garden will be in the center of the USA, exactly halfway between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The property is ideal, "high and lifted up," visible from all directions. Jesus said: "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." (John 12:32) According to official Texas Highway Department statistics, over one million people per year will see this one Kerrville Garden from the highway! Our research indicates, that approximately 1,000 people a day might actually visit this Garden. Many will receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior, as a result!

Sherry and I trust in Jesus and His Word. For many years we have tithed to our church, supported missionaries and ministries, and made spontaneous gifts as the Holy Spirit directed. However, this project is bigger than us. We are not financially able to build this first Garden alone; we need the help of the Body of Christ. We think this is what God intended. This is God's Garden, not ours.

God has graciously provided a single donor, who has acquired the 23 acres of land for the first Garden here in Kerrville, at a cost of $500,000. We are currently in the construction phase now, and hope to complete the cross-shaped evangelical Garden, landscaped entry, roads and parking lots, so we can open for visitors in 2008 or 2009.

However, we still need about three million dollars to complete the entire "vision," which includes a giant, 77' 7' cor-tin steel cross, and a beautiful Visitors Center with three museums. The large cross is necessary, we believe, to attract the most attention. It will insure the Garden becomes a major national landmark.

Ultimately, we plan to build a Visitors Center and three museums: Biblical Evidences Museum, a Christian American Heritage Museum, and an Art Museum, showing the creation process of the art inside the Garden. Every visitor to the museums will learn that Christians founded this country, and that the Bible is the reliable, written Word of God. I will share my own personal testimony, of how God called and gifted me to create this artwork and Garden. Each aspect of the project will be specifically designed to point people to Jesus Christ.

We are currently building the project in stages, as the money comes in, and are determined to stay out of debt, trusting God to finish the entire project. It is our prayer that we will be able to erect the giant, 77' 7' cross, rather than a smaller version. The actual production cost on the cor-tin steel cross will be around 1 million dollars, since it will be like building an seven story building!

However, even though this first Kerrville Garden will be built at the highest quality level possible, the actual construction cost will be much less than the normal market value. This is because the Christian owners of Eagle Bronze Foundry, in Lander, WY, Monte and Beverly Paddleford, have offered to produce and install the sculptures at their actual cost!

In addition, my wife, Sherry and I have also decided to waive all of our normal profits, from my artwork, to build the first Garden. Specifically, our family art business, Max Greiner, Jr. Designs, will provide the large sculptures at the actual foundry cost, and not "profit" from the use of my art. I am also personally donating my "professional" time, as the Artist and Designer, to this effort.

This financial contribution is possible because in 2004, God greatly blessed our business, thanks to our many art collectors. As a result, in December of 2004, Sherry and I were able to make the largest, single cash gift to the foundation that we have ever given to any charity or ministry, so this “vision” might be accomplished. We have personally “sowed” into God’s Garden, trusting He will make it “grow!”

In addition to the Board of Trustees, many other believers are also donating their talents, time, resources and money to make this first Garden come into existence. This Garden is truly the result of the Body of Christ coming together to honor Jesus. Would you pray about joining us?

In this age of deception and misuse of funds, I want to be completely transparent. The Coming King Foundation financial records will be completely open to examination, because we are accountable to God, the Body of Christ and the IRS. Neither Sherry or I, nor our foundation Board of Trustees receives any financial compensation, with regards to building of this Garden.

Our greatest desire is to lift up Jesus Christ and to introduce Him to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, using the resources, gifts and talents He has given us. This unique evangelistic outreach will actually lead people to Christ, until Jesus returns on His white horse! This is why the Body of Christ is uniting around this special project.
